Checking out all the stamps in her little passport. Just about to board flight 5 of 9 in 7 weeks! It has been raining most days ago in Malaysia but at least it was warm. Really so excited for our next stop- Vietnam! We have 24 hours in Ho Chi Minh before we escape the city. Does anyone have any recommendations? #travel #travelingwithababy #travelmadmum #adventure #backpacking #instagood #instatravel #picoftheday #instapassport #holiday #jetset #travelgram #wanderlust #familytravel #livingthedream #babywearing #baby #mumblogger #langkawi #malaysia #vietnam @ergobaby

Do not talk too long, just do it: Karen Edwards and her boyfriend Shaun wanted to go on an extended backpacking tour through Asia and Australia. The fact that they had just received a charming daughter named Esmé would have been reason for most parents to put these plans on hold. Karen saw it differently: For her, the baby was simply another family member with whom she wanted to share the impressions of her travels. So Shaun sold the shared car and found temporary tenants for their house in London. And Karen packed her travel bag and baby carrier, grabbed both man and child, and set out on another adventure. Esmé was only ten weeks old at the beginning of the journey.

So excited to let you know. Please check it out at travelmadmum.com New Zealand to embark on a seven week trip through SE Asia with our ten-month old girl. Needless to say, many people think we are a little bit nuts to do so much traveling with a baby. Whilst our friends funnily feel the opposite. Classic comments so far include: So good your not letting your baby rule your life? "My friend can not even go for lunch but the baby is loosing his? for a sleep? I guess from my perspective I think I'm 25, I'm single and care free! .. I think she wants it, well a bit anyway !? All I want to try and do is mate into our way of life. We both love traveling and can not see why we should stop or change our lives. I am confident the different sites smells and sounds want to stimulate all of your senses. She gets stir crazy just as much as I do when I sit around the house for too long so I'm sure this can only be good for her. Time is closing in on us, so we are trying to make it all three of our belongings for the trip into ONE BACKPACK !! Yes just one. I have to speak with one backpack. I really want to prove them wrong (awful personality trait) so I must do it! I have a few tricks up my sleeve which I will share later, not many, so on that note: What are your magic tricks for traveling light and compact ?? #travelmadmum #backpacking #travelingwithababy #southeastasia #excited #travel

"Our goal is to inspire parents who are as crazy about traveling as we are," Karen told the Boredpanda website. "It's just about putting the little human in your life."

Of course, having Esmé breastfed makes it a lot easier for everyone - after all, no bottles or powdered milk need to be carried along.

Yesterday we had quite a busy day making our way back to Taipei. Luckily we got to stop off at this amazing place on the outskirts. It's called Silver Stream Cave in Xiandian district. It's a temple literally carved into the highest part of a very steep cliff face. Incredibly, it is therefore behind a waterfall. Kiwi style insisted on wearing jandles (flip flops). It's about a twenty minute climb up. I would not trust myself to do that. You can walk through the temple and behind the waterfall. You also get the most spectacular views of taipei nestled in between mountains. It had that look and I realized that it was making its way towards us. We got completely drowned on the way back down, it felt like a proper rain forest experience. Poor baby was absolutely dripping. Felt like a bad parent for a millisecond and then I like it mehh she'll live! #travel #adventure #travelgram #instatravel #instagold #picoftheday #backpacking #backpacker #instagood #instapassport #jetset #holiday #vacation #familytravel #takethekids #travelwithkids #livingthedream #wonderlust #wanderlust #mum #baby #blogger #mumblogger #travelblogger #taiwan #taipei #silverstreamcave #hike #hiking #babywearing

Beautiful sunset over Mushroom Bay, Nusa Lemongon. Daddy and his girl taking in the sites. Looks perfect but I am sitting in the background looking back at you with a baby sitting in front of you. The sunset is an awesome distraction while I calm down! If anyone is coming to Nusa Lembongon I highly recommend staying near mushroom bay beach. It wants to make it a lot easier to access activities, sites and restaurants. Met lots of young family travelers here. I was so impressed when I saw one couple standing in front of the road waiting for a taxi with their FIVE children. The eldest no more than seven. All the kids contently sitting in a row on their dads surfboard. Hero!
