Risk of plastic parts - Mars recalls millions of chocolate bars
Such a huge product recall did not exist in Germany for a long time: The candy bar giant Mars retrieves millions of Nasch bars from the trade - because of plastic danger.
As Mars informs, the following products are affected:
All Mars and Snickers bars (all sizes), Milky Way Minis and Miniatures, as well as various product formats from Celebrations. Date of expiry: from 19/06/2016 to 08/01/2017.
Mars produces ten million bars every day in its factory - an unimaginable amount of sweets that customers should now return.
The background is that a customer had apparently found plastic particles in a bar. Mars explains, "We deliberately chose a very long production period to ensure that all potentially affected products are returned."
