Prince George: A different birthday present for the little Royal

Prince George celebrates his fifth birthday on Sunday. One of the gifts is already known: Just in time for the 22nd of July, a new five-pound commemorative coin appears in his honor, according to British media. The coin produced by The Royal Mint, the Mint of the United Kingdom, does not adorn the face of the little Royal. Instead, the legend of St. George is depicted on one side. High on horseback he is depicted as a dragon slayer. On the other side of the coin, as usual, the British Queen can be seen in profile.

Also for the baptism there was a coin

It is already the second Prince George collector coin. Also on his baptism on October 23, 2013, there was a special stamp. Two angels, each with a harp, can be seen on it. The price and value of the coins vary according to the material used. The new coin can be ordered on the homepage of the Royal Mint.

Prince George is the first child of Prince William (36) and Duchess Kate (36). He was born on July 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in London and is currently number three in the British throne. His sister Charlotte (3) follows in fourth place, her little brother Louis takes fifth place, which was born in April 2018 the light of day.
