It is a sad certainty: The actor Matthias Messner, known among others from the series "Rosenheim Cops", died at the age of 42. Messner was found dead on Wednesday (March 20) in a forest near Vienna.

The Austrian courier reports that the actor was found "in a kind of tent". Friends of the deceased found Matthias Messner in a private search.

Messner is said to have started on Sunday (March 17) for a walk from which he did not return. Friends of him spread search messages on Facebook, asked for clues.

The disappearance of the actor was noticed because he did not attend a rehearsal on Monday. Messner belonged for years to the theater ensemble of "Shakespeare in Mödling". He was also on television, including in the ZDF production "Rosenheim Cops".

According to police, there is no evidence of violence.
