Knit braid scarf - a guide
Instructions for a braid scarf in size S / M / L
Time spent: 9 hours.
Difficulty: light.
Material: 150 g Gray Fb 6 "fashion light luxury" (74% alpaca, 22% wool, 4% nylon, 130 m / 50 g run length), 350 g black and white gray Fb 3 "creative lucky chunky" (75% pure new wool, 25% polyamide, run length 65 m / 50 g) by Rico Design, knitting needles no. 8 (if you knit loosely) or 9 to 10 (if you're knitting tight). 1 pigtail needle.
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
Federal pattern (BM): 1st round: 2 sts left, 2 sts to the right. 2nd R: Knit the sts as they appear. Always repeat the 2nd R
Pear pattern (PM): 1st round: 2 sts right, 2 sts left in the change. 2nd R: Knit the sts as they appear. 3rd round: 2 sts left, 2 sts to the right. 4th R: Knit the sts as they appear. Repeat the 1st to 4th Rs.
Cable pattern (ZM) over 12 M: Knit the rows according to the knitting pattern, knit the sts in the back rows as they appear. Always repeat the 1st to 16th R in height.
Simple braid (EZ) over 8 M: 1st R (front): 1 M left, 6 M right, 1 M left. 2nd to 4th R: knit the sts as they appear. 5th row: 1 st at left, braid the middle 6 plait stitches (put 3 sts on a braid needle before the work, knit the following 3 sts on the right, then knit the 3 sts of the needlepin right), 1 st on the left. 6th through 8th R: Knit the sts as they appear. Always repeat the 1st to 8th Rs.
Knitting tension: 10 M x 16 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Manual: Cast on 38 sts and knit 8 cm in BM. Continue as follows: 6 sts in PM, 8 sts in EZ, 10 sts in stockinette sts on right, inc 2 sts = 12 sts (knit below in zM), 8 sts in beg, 6 st in pm = 40 sts cm from BM on, work 8 cm in BM, at the same time remove 2 sts in the area of ZM = 38 sts, then cast off all sts.
