Hats: Tips against flying and flat hair

Scandal! Cap crushes hairstyle

Much of our body heat is lost over our heads. Smart to cover your hair with warm wool in winter. The whole thing has only one small flaw: the hairstyle. Or rather the Nichtfrisur when removing the cap. Either the hair is extremely clapped to the approach (trapper cap with earflaps), has a half-length carrying point (Beret & Co) or flies and crackles (plastic or Fleece cap). So: freeze or annoy - what to do? Here's our problem avoidance in five phases.

Phase 1: You do not have a hat yet?

Grab large models that fall loosely and leave plenty of room for the hair. Berets are good if they are slightly reinforced at the edge, so stand a bit and do not press the hair flat from above on the scalp. The ideal hat fabric is wool when it comes to keeping moisture out. Cotton protects against overcharging (and flying hair). Anyone who shops for a fashionable piece of polyamide can escape statically charged hair if a light lining made of real silk is sewn into the cap.

Phase 2: Winter Care Offensive

Always use a conditioner after washing to help maintain moisture in the hair. Because not only that coat collar and hats rub on the hair and "open" their protective layer, even winter weather makes hair swell. The result: moisture can evaporate, the mane flies and becomes brittle. Recommended is therefore everything that moistens. And prefer a styling that already feels like care, such as hair cream, hair oil or anti-frizz serum.

Phase 3: Adjust styling

Especially with fine lint spray a volume spray into towel-dried hair and blow dry it at medium heat. While doing so, keep strands at a 90-degree angle to the scalp and hairstylically criss-cross, ie in the opposite direction. Example: Anyone who always wears a side parting on the left side first blows the hair on the right side for a higher level, and finally on the left side again. Then rub a pea-sized dollop of hairdressing cream well into the palms of your hands and brush lightly over your hair. Alternative for fine hair: spray a small amount of hair spray into the palms of the hands and then stroke over the head. All other styling products better first use in the office, they could stick to the heat under the cap.

Phase 4: Put on the cap

It is best to proceed from the back to the front and push the hair up with your fingers for a short while. In this way, the pony spared unwanted platitudes. If, however, for styling reasons, be quite smooth, put the cap vertically from above.

Phase 5: cap off - the hairstyle afterwards

First step: reach into the hair from below with your fingers and knead the hair upwards. Comb the charged fleece with a wooden or natural bristle brush. Plate Ponies liftet dry shampoo: spray from bottom to top and massage in with fingertips. Finally, spread styling cream or a light hair oil in the palms of the hands, rub through and over the hair; like to twirl single strands and make waves. Tip with Krisselhaaren and dents in the hair: Spray with heat protection spray and apply with the hair straightener at least the top hair.
