Hana Nitsche: In her first baby interview, she raves about being a mother

Model Hana Nitsche (32) in baby luck! The former "GNTM" candidate gave birth to a healthy daughter in August. The father of the little ones is her fiance Chris, they live together in Los Angeles. On Instagram, the 32-year-old already shared some snapshots of her new life as Mom. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, she explains how she felt in the first few weeks, why she had to return to hospital twice after giving birth, and when she will finally reveal the secret to the name of the little ones.

After all, all the best for the baby, dear Hana! How do you feel as a freshly baked mom?

Hana Nitsche: I'm still completely overwhelmed and enchanted by my little ones. I still can not believe that she belongs to me and is now an integral part of my life. She is such a wonderful creature and I feel so blessed that I am allowed to be her mother.

The birth of your daughter is already two months ago. How were the first weeks?

Nitsche: The first weeks were very exciting and also turbulent and exhausting with many sleepless nights, but also beautiful and very emotional. My whole world is upside down, so many changes, so many different impressions and feelings, but I am very happy. The little one has enchanted us and taken our hearts by storm. I have never felt so much bliss and love.

How hard was the birth, do you still have any physical limitations?

Nitsche: The birth itself has been relatively straightforward. However, the contractions had to be initiated artificially one week before the actual date of birth, because I had an elevated blood pressure. As a result, the contractions were a bit stronger. But my daughter came naturally, healthy and cheerful. There were health problems only after the birth. Once I had to be sewn because I had second-degree tears and also postpartum pre-eclampsia. My blood pressure was dangerously high, so I had to return to the hospital twice to be treated with medications and infusions. After almost a week, I was finally released, but the doctor ordered me to go to bed for a few weeks and advised to avoid sports or extreme stress and effort until the levels settle down again.

What name did you give your daughter?

Nitsche: I'll announce the name on Instagram soon. My fans are always asking for it. I just wanted to enjoy a little more privacy with my family as long as possible before everything becomes so public. Although I am a public figure myself, my partner is very private and reluctant to share personal information online. Therefore, I have held back a little more with the announcement of the name and also with photos of the little ones.

When is there a first picture of your daughter to see?

Nitsche: I decide that spontaneously. Then, if it feels right. She is just so small and I want to protect her. Especially with children, everything does not always have to be made public. But she is definitely my pride and a sweet baby! Maybe, even if her daddy gives the okay, I'll share one of the millions of pictures I've already taken of her.

How does your fiancé as a dad?

Nitsche: Surprisingly, he is really great with the little ones. Unfortunately he travels a lot at the moment and is hardly home. But once he's there and takes a little time, the two are really cute together. He's doing really well as a dad and I think with time he'll flourish even more in the new role. The little one wraps us both in any case already neatly around the little finger.

Many new parents are afraid of doing something wrong. Do you feel the same?

Nitsche: I'm always worried that I'm doing something wrong. I constantly have to look after her, constantly checking to see if she needs something, whether she's too cold or too warm. When she cries, I'm suffering. I can not take a minute to make her cry. When she is sleeping and not moving, I always check to see if she is still breathing. I myself can not sleep tight, I have almost always an eye open. At the moment I am an absolute helicopter mom.

Many models return to the catwalk just months after giving birth. How fast do you want to get back to the modeling business?

Nitsche: I would love to work again. I would love to sit still for a long time now. But the little girl is now first time and she keeps me very well on the move.

Do you put pressure on yourself to lose your baby's pounds quickly?

Nitsche: The first days after the birth I was under pressure and wanted to start right back. But when I had to go back to the hospital, that was a big scare and opened my eyes. My dad passed away just a few weeks before my baby's birth, he always took his health lightly. That made me think a lot. Therefore, I took a little bit back and concentrated on my recovery. It was also important to me that I can now fully be there for my baby.

Are you doing sports again?

Nitsche: At first I was not allowed to do any sports and had to take things slowly. Now finally after eight weeks Postpartum I feel better again and I feel fit. I've hired a personal trainer and start training again. The focus is now first to get fit again and strengthen my body. But I have already lost weight well without sports and diet, only thanks to breastfeeding and hormones. A few baby pounds are still on it, but I do not really want to stress because of it. The body needs time to heal properly, after all, it took nine months to give birth to a small human being. We women should learn to love our bodies, even if they are not perfect. The female body does really incredible things.
