Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: The return of James Gunn is a pleasure for Zoe Saldana

The re-hiring of James Gunn (52) as director for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" was for Gamora actress Zoe Saldana (40, "Colombiana") a huge joy, as she has now told "Entertainment Tonight". "I'm proud of him and I'm glad he's coming back," the actress said.

Saldana was also "very proud of Disney" that they had decided to forgive Gunn and carry this message into the world. Disney had fired Gunn after surfacing the director's old, offensive tweets in the summer of 2018. In mid-March, however, the company hired the director again after he had apologized months before.

Shortly after the expulsion many stars who had worked under Gunn on the "Guardians" -Franchise, used for the director. "We fully support James Gunn," it said in an open letter from last July, signed by Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker and Gunn's brother Sean ,
