Fry with water

Fry with water instead of oil - this avoids annoying fat splashes around the stove and even more annoying fat deposits on the hips. The technique is ideal for stir-fry chicken, turkey, pork or beef and vegetables. We show you step by step how to fry with water - using steaks as an example.

1.

Salt meat (about 1.5-2 cm thick) just before frying and pepper. Or put in a marinade of soy sauce, tomato juice, honey and spices for 10 minutes.

2.

Clean vegetables (eg leeks, peppers) and cut into pieces.

3.

Bring 2 - 3 tablespoons of mineral water to a boiled pan.

4.

Drain the marinated steaks, put the marinade aside. Fry the meat over high heat from each side for about 2 minutes. If the liquid evaporates, add tablespoons of mineral water, so that nothing starts. But do not take too much water, otherwise the meat cooks instead of frying. Remove steaks and keep warm.

5.

Add the vegetables to the pan and fry for about 5 minutes while stirring. Add mineral water teaspoonwise, so that nothing burns. Season vegetables with fresh herbs, salt and pepper or stir in the marinade.

6.

Arrange meat and vegetables and pour over a good teaspoon of high-quality, cold-pressed vegetable oil.

Tips

If the oil is added after frying, valuable fatty acids will not be destroyed by the heat, and the oil flavor will communicate better. For sprinkling are rosemary, lemon or orange oil, also spicy chili oils or wild garlic oil.

Take the meat out of the fridge at least one hour before frying to keep it relaxed.
