Dust wiping for beginners - fast & easy clean

1. Swipe from top to bottom

Always wipe dust from top to bottom, as it is whirled up during cleaning and then deposits on lower-lying objects.

2. First dust, then suck the floor

Because of the dust raising during the cleaning always first dust and then suck the floor. Here, too, applies: from top to bottom.

3. Nylon fibers instead of feathers

Ceilings and hard-to-reach corners can be cleaned with a feather duster with retractable handle. Here prefer to use nylon fibers instead of feathers. Synthetic fibers have the advantage of being electrostatically charged by friction on the surface, attracting dust and sticking to the surface.

4. Use gentle aids

Electrical appliances are themselves statically charged and therefore attract dust quickly. Here put on especially gentle tools such as an ostrich feather feather duster.

5. Beware of sensitive surfaces

Microfiber cloths do their job very well on smooth surfaces. But you have to be careful with sensitive surfaces such as musical instruments or e.g. Paint. The dust grains trapped in the microfibre cloth could scratch the surface.

6. Non-washable surfaces

Clean non-washable surfaces with a dry duster, wiping circularly to trap the dust in the cloth.

7. Clean radiator

Clean the radiator regularly, because dust can reduce the heat output. To clean, simply wrap an old trouser hanger with a damp cloth. The best way to clean the radiator shortly before the heating season, because in the summer is deposited on the cold radiators much dust.

8. Clean the vacuum cleaner

In order to maintain the vacuum cleaner, bags and filters should be changed regularly. Rinse the suction tube and hoses once a month with clean water and clean the nozzles at least once a month. First remove the hair and then wipe the body with a microfiber cloth. Pet owners should do this regularly, especially during the change of coat.

9. Suck properly

During suction, adjust the telescopic tube according to the body size. This relaxes the back and maximizes power transmission. Work best close to the body and suck in a star shape.

10. Adjust suction power

Adjust the suction power to the ground. Hardwood floors can be turned on. For carpets: less is more.
