Dieter Wedel: "Hannelore Elsner was an extraordinary woman"
Also director Dieter Wedel (77, "greed") is in shock after the surprising death of Hannelore Elsner ("Alles auf Zucker!"). "The news of Hannelores death has hit me very much," he told the "Bild" newspaper by phone. The director and actress were dating for two years in the 1980s and have one son in common.
Wedel still raves about his passionate ex-partner: "She was an extraordinary, one-time woman, not just in the world of film." The men are at their feet, remembers Wedel - he too. "Talking to her, laughing, arguing - that was always passion, but nowhere else have I had so many pockets on my head as she has!"
Also for her work, the director finds only words of praise: "Over the years she became what she was: one of the best actresses ever in Germany."
