David Schwimmer: First photo of him on the set of "Will & Grace"

For a few days it has been known that "Friends" star David Schwimmer (51) will take on a guest role in the sitcom "Will & Grace". Now there is the first snapshot of the 51-year-old from the set. Lead actress Debra Messing (50) aka Grace Adler published a photo featuring Schwimmer alongside leading actor Eric McCormack (55) aka Will Truman. Both wear gray jeans, similar sneakers and dark hooded jackets. A critical expression graces their faces. "That was not planned," says Messing comment on the picture.

Schwimmer returns to his sitcom origins almost fifteen years after leaving the cult series "Friends," where he was seen as Ross Geller for ten seasons. In a total of five episodes he is to embody the new friend of title character Grace (brass). The 18 new episodes of "Will & Grace" will be screened in the US starting in October. The series originally ended in 2006 after eight successful seasons. In 2017, the sitcom celebrated its big comeback and is considered the most watched comedy series of the NBC home channel.
