Crochet the bag - a guide
Instructions for a bag (23 x 25 cm in size)
Material: Each 50g in Orange Fb 0059, Sand Fb 0002, White Fb 0001, Yellow Fb 0013 and Light Blue Fb 0074 "Presto" (50% cotton, 50% acrylic, 65m / 50 g) by Lang Yarns. Crochet hook No. 4,5 (if you crochet loosely) or 5 to 6 (if you are crocheting - it is important that you get the information in the stitch). 160 cm grosgrain ribbon in white (2.6 cm wide, Art-Nr. 907710) and 80 cm white rubber cord (Art-Nr 971230) by Prym.
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
Fixed mesh (FM): Crochet M in rounds (spirally).
Color sequence: : Before unrolling as indicated below, apply 7.20 m per color! Crochet the whole ball in this order, then take the next color: moss, nature, fuchsia, sand, camellia, jeans.
Mesh test (FM): 16 M x 18 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Manual: Crochet 3 small loops in orange, close the circle with a slit stitch and crochet 9 sts in this circle. Continue to crochet in the FM, crocheting 2 sts on each round in the 1st round = 18 sts. In the following 2 rounds, inc 3 sts = 24 sts. In each of the 3 rounds, increase 3 sts = 24 In the following 3 rounds, inc 4 sts = 36 sts. In the next round split 6 sts = 42 sts. Continue to crochet with sand (at each color transition make the knot on the front side as the pocket is turned later In the following 2 rounds increase 5 sts = 64 sts. Continue crocheting in white, increasing 5 sts each time over the next 2 rounds = 74 sts. Continue working without any increase: 1 round in white, 1 round in yellow, 2 rounds in white, 3 rounds in sand, 2 rounds in orange, 3 rounds in light blue, 4 rounds in yellow, 2 rounds in white, 1 round in orange, 3 rounds in sand, 2 rounds in light blue, 2 rounds in white and 3 rounds in yellow. Now turn the bag so that the side comes out without any knots, and crochet a round of warp in yellow for another turn (now in the opposite direction than before). Sew the upper threads so that they do not peel out of the pocket.
elaboration: Embroider the grosgrain ribbon lengthwise on both outer edges in yellow and in the middle in sand in a single stitch. Flip the grosgrain ribbon in on both sides approx. 3 cm inwards and sew it inside the bag. Pull the rubber cord into the upper edge of the bag and attach a tassel to each end, cut 3 threads of 30 cm length for each color, put them around the rubber cord and close the rubber cord with a knot around the threads. Again cut 1 thread of 30 cm length per color and wrap these threads at a distance of 1.5 cm from the point of interweaving. Wrap them twice around all threads, fasten with one knot. Then pull the ends individually with a needle through the winding and also hang as fringes. Finally, cut all fringes to a length.
