Christmas tea light envelope

Take a few minutes to tinker and put on your favorite record. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy your new Christmas candle right away. Christiane from DaWanda Christiane Petscha has the two-in-one solution.

What you need for the tealight envelope:

  • Fabric with a good stand, preferably with Christmas motifs
  • A vessel for the candle

Tea light envelope: How it works:

Take the vessel into which you want to insert the candle later, and measure the height and circumference of the upper and lower end.

These dimensions, plus 1.5 cm seam allowance, transfer now to a piece of cardboard.

Cut out the piece of cardboard and place it on the fabric. Transfer and cut out dimensions.

The next step is to overcast the edges.

Now put the fabric right to right and quilt the short edges 1.5 cm.

Unwrap the seam allowance ...

... and turn the fabric.

Finally, put the upper and lower edges inwards (1.5 cm), iron and topstitch.

Put on the candle, candle on and ready. Quickly make a hot chocolate and enjoy!

Christiane finds her moments of calm on the sewing machine. She inherited the enthusiasm from her grandmother, who was a master tailor and taught her granddaughter a thing or two. After one year of study, Christiane was also fit in fashion drawing, cut design and hat design and now presents her creations in DaWanda DaWanda Christiane Petscha.
