Christina Aguilera: In the fight against discrimination

In keeping with World Women's Day, Christina Aguilera (38, "Burlesque") is honored with the "HRC Ally for Equality Award" for her commitment. She not only raised funds for AIDS research, but also works for the equal rights of sexual minorities. Their fight against discrimination will now be rewarded. HRC President Chad Griffin (45) even calls Aguilera a "living legend" and says that "it really does change the lives of some".

And not only that, he also praises her tireless struggle to improve conditions. Her song "Beautiful" is the greatest anthem of the LGBTQ movement of all time. On March 30, Aguilera will be awarded along with actress Yeardley Smith (54) in Los Angeles. A year earlier, Anne Hathaway (36) received the award.
