Your little sister is going to school, your best friend is going abroad for a year or is your sweetheart starting to study? A wonderful reason for a very special gift! Like this lucky pig - From an old towel, you can use a little skill to conjure up a cuddly lucky charm for your loved one.

And you need that

  • An old towel, preferably nicely patterned
  • fiberfill (synthetic, available in the craft shop)
  • A small piece rubber band
  • Two Buttons
  • yarn, to match the towel
  • needles
  • scissors
  • sewing machine (but you can also sew the pig by hand)
  • computer and printer

Step 1

The patterns print and cut out.

step 2

Cut out all parts with approx. 0.7 cm seam allowance as follows:

  • belly 1 x
  • page 2 x, but mirrored for the second time
  • tail 2 x
  • nose 1 x
  • ear 4 x

step 3

Now the one side piece, right to right, is sewn to the belly piece, then the second to the other side. Always from the muzzle towards the tail, where the parts must overlap at the tail end.

Step 4

Now the tail is sewn, but the two parts, right to right, stack and place the piece of rubber band in the middle of it. Sew the two long edges and one narrow side, with the rubber band sewn on the narrow side. Turn the resulting tube closed on one side so that the rubber band lies inside. If you pull now on the rubber band, the tail curls. Briefly fix with a few stitches when the desired level of girthing is achieved.

Step 5

Lay the tail at the mark pointing inwards between the two side parts and possibly with a pin stuck. Now sew the two side panels together at the topwith the muzzle remaining open and an opening on the back for later filling.

Step 6

The circular Sew the nose into the mouth of the mouth by hand.

Step 7

Cut all sharp curves several times with scissors until just before the seam and cut off the "corners" (so the shape of the pig is later nicely defined).

Step 10

Two small holes (about the markings, but you can do that, as you like) cut and put your ears in it. Sew tight.

Sewn with two buttons left and right under the ears, the pig gets his eyes, If you like, you can conjure a few rosy cheeks to the pig with something very diluted fabric paint.

Step 12

In order for the pig to stand properly, you only have to put on your legs a little bit (a dashed line is drawn on the pattern). For this one presses the respective leg in the direction of the stomach, so that an inner fold arises. Sew along the crease. Repeat on all legs.

Step 13

Give away or keep yourself.
