Anticipation? Rip off! If you want to give your loved ones an advent calendar, which you buy in the supermarket, you should pay close attention: Many brands grab you pretty deep in the bag!

The consumer center Hamburg has taken various brand advent calendars under the microscope and now warns against three calendars, which have the heftiest price increase in itself.

3rd place: The m & ms advent calendar:

For 8.49 euros there's a calendar at Real with 361 grams of sweets from the standard range: chocolate, mini-bounty, mini-Mars and Co. would, if you buy them individually, only cost 3.49 euros. Make an advent calendar markup of 143 percent!

2nd place: the after-eight tower

Here they have at least made the effort in the packaging: which is nice, but also makes a lot of garbage. You can nibble here for € 13.99 whole 185 grams of after-eight chocolate. Compared to the traditional packs you pay 215 percent more!

1st place: the tea advent calendar

It really kicks the barrel out of the barrel: In the teapot advent calendar, there are a stinking 25 teabags (there are two on Christmas Eve). They are not festive or tasteful - no, they are normal tea bags that you get all year round. In the regular sale you would pay for 25 bags, however, only about 2.75 euros - and the advent calendar costs at Galeria Kaufhof 14.99 euros! Shock digested? Then another hefty number: This is the Advent calendar more than 400 percent more expensive - a bag costs 60 instead of 11 cents!

Then you better make the advent calendar yourself!

Before tapping into such a price trap, make your advent calendar this year! Here are some ideas and crafting instructions for you - because homemade calendars are best.

And if it has to go very fast: This last-minute Advent calendar is superfix made and still looks great!
