Advent Calendar Idea: Recycled Wallpapers

For the paper bags of my Advent calendar, I asked the paint shop for old wallpaper samples. You often get that for free - that's my craft heart and environmentally friendly it is! ;O)

That's what you need for this advent calendar idea:

- solid paper (wallpaper remnants) in cream tones

- brown construction paper

- white napkins

- Tacker

- Scissors

- Punching pliers

- Asterisk punch

- Glue roller or craft glue

- Satin ribbon / parcel cord or similar

- Pencil and gold pen

- maybe golden stars

- Lid (about 28 cm in diameter) or another round template

The instructions for the advent calendar idea:

First, pick six sheets of paper - any color combination is possible, depending on who gets the calendar. For children, I find colorful more beautiful than uni.

Draw circles on them using the lid.

Cut out circles and fold twice so that quarter circles are created.

After unfolding, cut into the resulting quarters. These are then turned into small bags and fixed with the stapler.

Then punch out the 24 asterisks for the advent calendar numbers and number them from 1 to 24. A small highlight are the golden stars on the bags. These and the number stars are glued to the bags very quickly with the glue roller.

With the punch you make on the back two holes through which later as a suspension a satin ribbon or the string is pulled.

The napkins are divided into the individual layers, so the cover of the filling is wonderfully airy and delicate - almost like fresh fallen powder snow!

Finally, thread all the bags - the order is best mixed - on the string and hang on a branch, two hooks in the wall or on the curtain rod.

Now fill only with sweets, beautiful sayings, small gifts or whatever you can think of.
