We spend so much money on our period

What do we need for our period?

Whether tampons, bandages or menstrual cups: every month we need a lot of hygiene products for our period. For most of us, the menstrual period is also accompanied by physical complaints such as headaches, abdominal cramps and nausea, which we fight with tablets fight. Not to mention that we need new underwear for small gaffe and nerve food to survive the period. Clear that all these products cost? but how high are these in the course of life?

That's what we spend on our menstruation

As the British "Huffington Post" writes, has a study revealed that women averaged £ 18,450 over their lifetime? the equivalent of 21,700 euros? spent on their period. The survey surveyed 2,134 women aged 18 to 45 who received their menstruation regularly over a period of five days. The money flowed mainly in bandages (31 percent), tampons (21 percent) and painkillers. The menstrual cup accounted for six percent.

In total, the participants paid around 15 euros per month for hygiene products, nine euros for underwear, five euros for analgesics, ten euros for sweets and eight euros for miscellaneous items. For the year, that makes a sum of 580 euros. Assuming that women get their period about 450 times in life, that makes a total of 21,700 euros for the womanhood.

Well, if that's no reason to save next time on the nerve food and new underwear. After all, sweets are only partially suitable to the complaints to fight the fight. On the contrary - they can even aggravate the symptoms.
