Theater takes a stand: Real fur coats? No thanks!

The Hamburg Imperial Theater finds clear words in the fight against the real fur trend: still cuddle many women and men in the cool winter months to their fluffy fur hoods.

For the theater in the heart of the Hanseatic city, this is anything but a fashion statement.

On the official Facebook channel, the employees of the playhouse announce that they perceive "the use of real fur as a fashion accessory" as "outdated and stupid".

No warm words for fur carriers

And also in the rooms of the theater, a poster shows the guests that animal protection is important to this house.

The ladies and gentlemen at the Imperial Theater's dressing room are under no obligation to accept visitors' garments that have a real fur trim. This decision may be made individually by the employees.

Why is the theater addressing the public with this concern right now? One possible sad reason could be the annual "harvest" in the fur industry in November.

The term harvest in this case stands for the killing and skinning of the affected animals.

For their statement, those responsible already received a lot of encouragement - the post office has been divided almost 3000 times!

Let's hope that this grandiose action will at least stimulate a few theatergoers to think and rethink and this bloody trend will finally come to an end ...
