"The Ruler": What does the tarot card show?

Older tarot cards usually show the figure as an aged, rather matronly looking mother, in which power and care enter into a personal union. In the Rider Waite Tarot, however, an attractive, sensual young woman sits opposite you, who seems to embody pleasure and love rather than maternal sense of responsibility. In fact, the Golden Dawn Order, to whom Arthur Edward Waite, the spiritual father of this card, belonged, has assigned this tarot card to Venus, the goddess of romantic and erotic love, beauty and enjoyment of life. This is also shown by the heart-shaped emblem with the astrological symbol of Aphrodite on the throne.

Despite all sex appeal, "The Sovereign" continues to embody the maternal principle. And she can? Like her colleagues, the queens in the four colors of the Little Arcana? as a day pass or when laying out a laying system, it can also be a direct indication that you should now increasingly deal with your relationship with your mother or with your own mother role.

Gracefully raises "The Empress" in her pretty white, decorated with the red roses of love dress on a comfortable chair throne her scepter. Like an Earth Goddess, she also rules over nature: the useful mature grain at her feet as well as the trees and the fresh spring in the background.

Her crown is decorated with twelve white stars. These stand for the twelve signs of the Zodiac, which the sun goes through each year in a solid rhythm and in which the annual growth, development and decay of nature is reflected.

As the Love-Red: If the tarot card "The Sovereign" stands for your partner or your relationship

Even if the card reflects the sheer female power, it does not necessarily mean that you are suddenly interested in women. The map image describes only an erotic and romantic equally fulfilling relationship, which is supported by a great sense of responsibility for each other despite all the playful passion. You are probably the one who gives your love impulses in this beautiful direction again and again; but your partner likes to follow you the way you know.
