The Boat: The second season of the drama series has already been decided
"The boat" is not the last time in the lake. The in-house production of Sky will be continued with new episodes in a second season, as Sky Germany has announced. The happy news for the fans is also available on the official Instagram account of the Bavaria Film GmbH with a promise to read: "All Cliffhanger be resolved - in season 2!" It says.
Marcus Ammon, the Vice President of Sky Original Production, had expected the series to be successful from the beginning: "We were convinced from the outset that together with our partners we could create something extraordinary, with a multi-faceted yet entertaining story and we're looking forward to working on a second season, "the station's press release says.
The plot of the eight-part event series begins nine months after the events of the eponymous 1981 movie. This time, there are two locations: aboard the U-612 with actors Rick Okon (29), August Wittgenstein (37) and more, and on land, in the French submarine port of La Rochelle. Vicky Krieps (35) and Tom Wlaschiha (45) can be seen there.
"The boat" runs since 23 November every Friday (20:15 clock) in double episodes in Sky 1 HD. When the second season is expected, has not yet announced.
