"That gives work"
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Mr. Wehrli, are you an order fanatic?
Ursus Wehrli: Of course not! That's just my problem. But because I'm too lazy to clean up my own mess, I first started working with the others.
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: And did you come up with the idea of tidying up the art?
Ursus Wehrli: I did not even get the idea, the idea came to me ... And that did not make me happy at first, because suddenly it became clear to me: That gives work!
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: But what's the point?
Ursus Wehrli: The pedagogically valuable answer would be here: sharpen the view of the art and promote the access to art in a pleasurable way. However, pragmatically speaking, tidying up has only one purpose, whether it's on my desk, in a living room, or in a work of art: that it's more neat afterwards than before!
Van Gogh's ...
... clean up the bedroom
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Surely not everyone agreed, right? Has anyone ever complained?
Ursus Wehrli: No, unfortunately not. I've been waiting for this for a long time!
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Which artist needs the most to be cleaned up?
Ursus Wehrli: Actually Jackson Pollock, because he always messed up with his paint pots. But I'm still working on that.
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: And who is safe from your cleanup?
Ursus Wehrli: Piet Mondrian, he was the neatest of them all. You have to confuse it before I can clean it up again.
From the Schlendrian ...
...to...
... Mondrian
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Your tidy versions of the pictures, how are they doing right now?
Ursus Wehrli: This is extremely unspectacular: with scissors, glue and paper. And with a lot of time ...
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: How much time would you need for the Mona Lisa?
Ursus Wehrli: No idea - maybe I would just straighten the corners of her mouth with a ruler.
ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Would that be a project for the future?
Ursus Wehrli: I would rather like to mend "art" and re-attach the broken extremities to all the antique statues!
