"Tatort Internet": Trash TV to switch off

An important topic, depressing and serious - and then such a trash! The RTL-2 program "Crime Scene Internet" has triggered with me physical aversion. How can you protect children from falling into the trap of sex offenders? - that is supposedly the Enlightenment claim of the broadcast. However, what is required is a contribution that could scarcely be more lurid and voyeuristic. Already the trailer annoys: Wackelbilder, dramatic music, ominous voices that ask "do we want to meet?".

Then the show, the beginning of a ten-part series: Potential pedophiles are lured with fictitious chat profiles of 13-year-old girls. They write impulses to the alleged children such as: "Do you already have hair? I would like to shave you" and make an appointment. But the journalist Beate Krafft-Schöning, who has been researching such cases for years, is waiting there and confronts her with her plans. The journalist reads from the disgusting chat protocols before, the - pixelated - fast-perpetrators stutter excuses and lame excuses. This is so torturously long.

Cut, short performance Stephanie zu Guttenberg, who as the president of the association "Innocence in Danger" brings expertise and teaches it. But does not help, the approaches of enlightenment are filled with repulsive effects. Parents do not learn how to protect their children from abuse. That's sad. One more thing is regrettable: Stephanie zu Guttenberg has done more harm to this credibility than to use the good cause. Enlightenment looks different. And we would need that urgently.
