Stranger Things: Millie Bobby Brown's role should have actually died

What would "Stranger Things" be without series favorite Eleven? But almost the fans of the series in season two had to do without the figure played by Millie Bobby Brown (14). The reveals now - as the British newspaper "Daily Mail" reports - a new behind-the-scenes book called "Stranger Things: Worlds Turned Upside Down", which will be released on Tuesday. Brown's character as well as the characters Steve Harrington (played by Joe Keery, 26) and Bob Newby (played by Sean Astin, 47) should already be written off the screen during season one.

The plan was as follows: "Eleven should sacrifice himself to save everyone in the end - that was always the end scenario," says co-inventor Ross Duffer in the book. "But when we realized that the series is likely to be longer than a season, we had to leave it more in the air, because deep down we knew that the series would not work without eleven, and at that point we knew how especially Millie, if there's more of 'Stranger Things', Eleven has to come back. "

Keery's character Steve, on the other hand, was conceived as a "giant bastard". But the actor has managed to give his character a natural and clear conscience with his natural charm. So it was no longer justifiable to kill him, Duffer is quoted.

Attention, spoilers!

Astin's role Bob Newby, from season two on Joyce Byers' friend (played by Winona Ryder), should die much earlier. "But Sean Astin proved so sympathetic that Bob's death was postponed from episode four to episode eight because we wanted to keep him alive," the new book says.
