Schüßlersalze: Which suits me?

Whether we like it or not, we can not get out of our skin. Our physique and personality are largely in our genes. So it does not do any good to quarrel with our heirlooms. Much better: Underline the good features and soften the less good features.

It can help Schüßlersalze, for example, the German Homeopathy Union. Their effectiveness has not been scientifically proven yet, yet many people swear by a treatment with mineral salts. It is based on the assumption that diseases are caused by a disturbed mineral content of the body cells and could therefore be cured by the intake of homeopathically dosed minerals.

Non-medical practitioner Günther H. Heepen, expert in mineral salts therapy according to Dr. med. Schüßler in Bamberg developed a typology for this: "Every so-called constitutional type is characterized by a number of physical and mental qualities," explains Heepen. "Especially the facial features, so certain facial features, play a major role in the classification."



Six main types - That's how it works

We introduce you to the six main types of eleven possible characterizations in which most are found. First, register yourself. With the constitution cure, presented at the end of each type description, it is then possible to further promote your strengths and to compensate for the weaknesses. In addition, our suggestions for type-appropriate sports, proper nutrition and suitable relaxation methods can ideally support the mineral salt treatment.

Here's how it works: first read the headings "Character traits" and "Physical traits". Think about which description is most likely to apply to you on a normal day. If you are not sure, you can ask a good friend or partner for advice. The view from the outside is often clearer in the assessment. It happens that you find yourself in several typifications equally. In such mixed forms you can use the tips for the different types, but you should limit yourself to two.

The Ferrum-phosphoricum type (salt no. 3): power for the immune system

Character traits

Women of this type are quickly exhausted nerves and often react hypersensitive to their environment.

Physical characteristics

The eyes here often look like dark framing, with a bluish discoloration in the inner corners of the eyes. Also characteristic are dry hair, frequent colds and altogether bad blood circulation.

Ideal sport

Ferrum phosphoricum types need exercise in the fresh air to facilitate the body's oxygen uptake, e.g. B. Jogging, cycling or rowing.

Appropriate diet

Iron rich food is important, eg. B. dishes with legumes such as beans, peas and chickpeas. Meat (especially game), mushrooms, rye and dried fruit increase the iron content in the body.



Helpful relaxation methods

Just as in sports, a trip to the outdoors (in winter on the balcony or the open window) supports the relaxation effect, eg. B. in Qi Gong exercises.

In order to strengthen the immune system and improve blood circulation, a three-month course of treatment is recommended: take 2 tablets of Ferrum Phosphoricum (salt no. 3) D3 for one month in the morning sober, d. H. melt on the tongue. In the next month on the potency D6, in the third on D12 change - at the same dosage.

The potassium chloratum type (salt # 4): Just let go

Character traits

Those who are of this type tend to have a strong sense of duty, are often more introverted and have phases of self-pity.

Physical characteristics

Often the complexion appears pale and milky, especially around the eyes. Typical are chronic problems with stomach, intestine or mucous membranes.

Ideal sport

Especially suitable is regular swimming - while escaping representatives of this type of phased melancholy.

Appropriate diet

Foods containing natural potassium do well, eg. Bananas, garden cress, dates or feta cheese.



Helpful relaxation methods

Meditative journeys of thought, perhaps accompanied by relaxing music, make one more relaxed and dispel ruminations.

A four to eight-week treatment helps to make the gastrointestinal tract and mucous membranes more resistant to inflammation. Take 4 tablets of potassium chloratum (salt 4) distributed throughout the day. It's best to start with the potency D3 and switch to D6 after two weeks, again after two weeks to D12.

The Potassium Phosphoricum (Salt # 5): Make yourself strong

Character traits

Potassium phosphoricum women are delicately stricken, frightening and easily confused. They are often built "close to the water".



Physical characteristics

The complexion often has an unhealthy gray tint. In addition, often occur on bowel problems and muscle weakness, bleeding gums and hair loss.

Ideal sport

Good forms of movement for this type are Asian defense disciplines such as Aikido or Karate. If you like it a bit softer, you can try Capoeira, the Brazilian mix of dance and martial arts. This not only strengthens the muscles, but also the self-confidence.



Appropriate diet

This diet should include many dishes with high levels of B vitamins, e.g. Yeast, milk and sour milk products, peanuts, squash and cabbage (see also nutrition tips for the magnesium-phosphoricum type).

More inner and outer balance can be achieved z. B. by the Asian movement theory Thai Chi.

Here stronger nerves, more confidence and energy are needed. To do this, dissolve 10 tablets of Potassium Phosphoricum (salt no.5) D6 in hot water every morning for four weeks and drink in small sips on an empty stomach.

The magnesium-phosphoricum type (salt no. 7): Relax more often

Character traits

Strong tension, aggression and inner restlessness are the most important features of this type. Nightly watching with circling thoughts is common.



Physical characteristics

Often the cheeks are circular red. In addition, magnesium phosphoricum types suffer from tension and muscle spasms, including abdominal pain and bloating after eating.

Ideal sport

It is best to choose a form of exercise which has a balancing effect and does not require too high a pace, e.g. Hiking or walking.

Appropriate diet

Vitamin B-rich food is needed in this case to strengthen nerves and muscles, eg. As in meat, fish, eggs and hazelnuts or walnuts (see also nutrition tips for the potassium Phosphoricum type).



Helpful relaxation methods

Jacobson's Progressive Muscle Relaxation is often easier and faster for people who are often tense in their physique than other forms.

React faster, relax and put stress away better - with magnesium phosphoricum (salt no.7) D6. For four weeks each evening dissolve 10 tablets in hot water, drink slowly swallowed.



The sodium-sulfuricum type (salt no. 10): get going

Character traits

Clear indications of this type are frequent phases of emotional distress. He tends to gloomy thoughts and often feels dull and beaten.



Physical characteristics

Striking is a flushing blush with pale spots around the nose and mouth. In addition, the sodium sulfuricum type tends to water retention and indigestion.

Ideal sport

Everything that activates the trunk and thus the digestive tract - so z. B. classical gymnastics or Pilates.

Appropriate diet

Representatives of this type should make sure that they have enough fiber, z. B. in the form of whole grains, vegetables and dried fruit, and 2 to 2.5 liters of water or herbal tea per day in order to stimulate the intestinal activity.



Helpful relaxation methods

Better suited as quiet practices like meditation is a moving relaxation form like yoga.

Ideal for better digestion and a more balanced fluid balance is a four-week regimen of taking 2 tablets of Sodium Sulfuricum (Salt # 10) D6 3 times a day, preferably before meals.



The Silica Type (Salt # 11): A kick for self-esteem

Character traits

Silicea types are insecure, sensitive and undecided, often irritable and angry. Criticism and contradiction are difficult to bear.

Physical characteristics

Often a shine appears in the face, the skin tends to impurities and fine crow's feet around the eyes. In general, the connective tissue is rather weak, it lacks strength and stability in the areas of skin and hair.



Ideal sport

The Silica type should seek the challenge in sports and thus promote self-assurance, eg. B. in cave tours or climbing courses.

Appropriate diet

Here are allowed regularly foods containing silica on the table, z. Oatmeal, bamboo shoots or beetroot.



Helpful relaxation methods

On the one hand to stimulate the blood circulation and on the other hand to compensate for mood swings, autogenic training is a good choice.

Usually, three to five tablets are taken daily, and in the case of great deficiency, up to 15 tablets. Since "Silica" is one of the slow-acting Schuessler salts, it should be taken continuously over several weeks and months.
