Orgasm study: When and how do women come?

Wrong, but true: Men are more likely to orgasm than women. Eighty per cent of German men said that when they had an international comparison of orgasm frequency ordered by Durex, they always or almost always come to a climax during sex. Among German women, only 33 percent were able to claim this.

With this ratio, however, they can almost happily estimate themselves in a global comparison: Asian women, in particular, rarely get their money's worth. In Hong Kong, just 8 percent of female participants said they would always get an orgasm on intercourse, 11 percent in Japan and 13 percent in China.

On the next page: The intensity of orgasm

Not always, but intense: German women may not come to climax every time they have sex, but if it does, it's right. 67 percent were satisfied with the intensity of their orgasm. That puts them just one percentage point behind the men.

The leaders in terms of orgasm satisfaction are Mexicans and Dutch women: in Mexico, 73 percent and in the Netherlands 72 percent of women have no exposure to the intensity.

On the next page: more often is better

More often is better: Who has more sex, is also satisfied with his orgasms. This is particularly true of German women: 88 percent of those who have sex daily are satisfied with the intensity of their orgasm. This is above the international average - worldwide it is only 70 percent.

On the next page: more orgasms thanks to separate apartments

Liiert, but separated - that's the perfect combination for a fulfilling sex life. Only 22 percent of German single women, who regularly have dates, always get an orgasm during sex. For women who have a partner but do not live with him, 43 percent had almost twice as many. Of those who live unmarried under one roof with their partner, 42 percent said they came to the climax each time.

On the next page: What the duration of a partnership has to do with orgasms

Whether they are three or 23 years together with their partner, German women are relatively unimportant - at least when it comes to their orgasms. On this point, they are different from the international average: Worldwide, women stated that the duration of their relationship increases the number of their climaxes. In the first two years of their relationship, 40 percent of respondents worldwide reach their climax each time. By contrast, with 11 to 25 years of partnership, there are already 52 percent.

On the next page: Sextoys - the key to happiness

Sextoys are the key to sexual happiness for most women. While role-plays and lubricants play only a minor role, 45 percent of German women always come to the climax with the help of vibrators and dildos. The men's favorite videos or books, however, are only used by 34 percent of women as Orgasmushilfe.

On the next page: So long should the prelude be

22 minutes - so much time must be on average at foreplay, so that German women always get an orgasm during sex. Globally, women prefer a 19-minute prelude. The upstream pampering phase also has an effect on the orgasm intensity. Especially in a 20-minute audition, the German women are satisfied with the intensity of their orgasm.

On the next page: Easier come with masturbation

Even the woman is: When it comes to coming quickly and easily, then German women prefer the masturbation. 43 percent said it was easier to get an orgasm. Of sex with the partner, however, claim this only 23 percent.

On the next page: Orgasm for the salvation of the soul

Sex as a mood enhancer: People who often have an orgasm are happier, according to the study. This not only applies to sexual well-being, but also to their mental and physical health.

On the next page: Without orgasm no sexual well-being

Without regular orgasm, most German women do not feel well. If the peak does not last long despite sex, only 28 percent feel sexually satisfied. If he is less intense than desired, this affects every seventh woman's satisfaction.
