"Nu Project": Naked without improvement
Show women's bodies as they really are - that's what the "Nu Project" by Katy Kessler and Matt Blum is all about. It all started in 2005 with the idea of showing how beautiful every woman is, beyond the standard model glamor. The concept evolved steadily and suddenly achieved impressive images, as the photos were not made in the studio, but at the respective women's home. The first contacts were made via the portal "Craigslist", meanwhile, thousands of women have come forward who want to join. Did not that sound funny - an online ad that asks, "Can I come to your home and take nudes"? "No, no problem," says Katy Kessler ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com. "Matt has been a photographer for many years and has a lot of material on his website, so anyone could see that he was not some guy hunting for nude photos."
Nudes: women without cosmetic corrections
Reactions to the images were consistently positive and soon more women volunteered to join the project - now over 8,000 women from around the world. The participants do not care about money: "Anyone who takes part in a photo session gets the image files afterwards, that's it." Participation is entirely voluntary, "says Katy. "The reasons to participate are different - but we get to see how beautiful and liberated the women feel after being in front of the camera."

Meanwhile, the Nu Project was in Germany and other European countries and has produced a new series of photos. Here you can see the new Nu-Project photos.
Earlier this year, Katy asked the network community on the Kickstarter platform if they were interested in a book. Within a short time she not only had the necessary money for her project, but also collected almost twice the necessary budget. "We've wanted to bring out a book with the photos for ages," she says. "Now we had the impression that so many people visit our site that there could be enough interest in a self-funded photo book, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the result." Therefore, the "Nu Project" continues now: After the photo series from North and South America Matt and Katy photograph this summer in Spain and Portugal.
