Million-coup! Jewel Thieves strike at Princess Wedding

This story sounds like a thriller: jewels coup at a real princess wedding! At the beginning of September Ameera Al-Taweel, Princess of Saudi Arabia, gave her love to Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi. The two celebrated a glittering feast in Paris with illustrious guests (including Oprah Winfrey).

Top secret wedding and a coup

But as beautiful as the party was and how in love the bridal couple must have looked at (we can only guess - photos were banned at the party and the guests had to sign a secrecy clause), so big is the hangover afterwards. After all, the million dollar worth of jewelry has disappeared from the Hotel Ritz.

This is reported by the Daily Mail, which writes: On Monday after the wedding, the theft should have been reported. Noble little stones of a princess have disappeared - maybe even the bride personally.

Strange: The jewels were therefore not trapped in a safe and burglary marks it should not have been. Who owns the jewelry and how did the thieves get to the prey? Ultimately we can only speculate about that.

The groom is billions

What is certain, however, is that the princess family is allegedly not ruined by the theft. It moves in well-heeled circles - but the groom Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi is considered two billion dollars. The businessman and the princess had kept their love and their wedding secret for a long time.

Princess Ameera Al-Taweel was the fourth wife of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia. Together, they were at the wedding of Prince William and Duchess Kate in 2011 - two years later, the two parted. Now the princess is apparently happily in love again. And true love can not tarnish any jewel loss in the millions, right?
