Lori Loughlin: She continues to assert her innocence in the bribery scandal

The two stars Lori Loughlin (54) and Felicity Huffman (56, "Desperate Housewives") could not be more different in the corruption affair. While the latter was found guilty and remorseful, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli (55), apparently want to prove their innocence. And so, according to the US side "TMZ," the couple said at a hearing about their lawyers that they would continue pleading not guilty.

The two are accused of having paid an alleged sum of half a million US dollars so that their two daughters can go to an elite university. In addition to the bribery is still the allegation of money laundering in the room. Since Loughlin and Giannulli - unlike Huffman - have turned down a deal with the prosecutor, it could hail for both lengthy prison sentences. The Ministry of Justice has up to 20 years imprisonment per charge, while the minimum sentence is four years and nine months, according to TMZ.

The bribery scandal has hit high waves in the US for weeks. Over 50 celebrities and entrepreneurs are said to have paid substantial sums to accommodate their children at colleges.
