Light bags: that make mood!

What you need for the light bags:

- empty jam or canned jars

- white cotton or linen fabric

- lace edging

- white embroidery thread

- Embroidery needle

Make light bags: That's how it works

Measure first the height and the diameter of the glasses and then cut the fabric accordingly (in each case add about 3 cm seam allowance!)

Then draw the desired motif in pencil in the center of the fabric and embroider with the embroidery thread.

Now sew the lace trim along the upper hem.

Lay the side edges of the fabric right side to right and sew together. Sew up the bottom part as well.

In this way, even a flat bag is created. To be able to place the glass neatly, now the corners are stitched along the bottom edge - to unfold the corners at the bottom seam and sew across the edges transverse to the bottom seam. Cut off the protruding corners and turn the bag.

Finally, only the glass with a tealight is placed in the bag!

If you use a very tall glass, it is recommended to tie the bag with a ribbon or a border, so that it can not slide down. Otherwise, you can reinforce the fabric before sewing with non-woven fabric.
