Let's Dance 2019: Spectators give Benjamin Piwko a free ticket

Who follows in the footsteps of last year's winner Ingolf Lück (60)? At "Let's Dance - The Great Introductory Show", it was already clear on Friday evening which celebrities have rhythm in their blood and which whirlwind is likely to be the subject of many more training sessions. Mainly on the evening, on which the starting signal for the now twelfth season of the RTL show fell, the question was clarified: Who is actually dancing with whom?

The group dances

After a dazzlingly green opening show in which jury members Motsi Mabuse (37), Jorge González (51) and Joachim Llambi (54) were joined this year, it all started right away. Jungle Queen Evelyn Burdecki (30), TV host Nazan Eckes (42) and long-distance runner Sabrina "Mocki" Mockenhaupt (38) put a cha-cha-cha on the floor. González's verdict: "Chicas, that was hot."

Fashion designer Barbara Becker (52), singer Ella Endlich (34) and "GZSZ" actress Ulrike Frank (50) showed a quickstep. Mabuse was so excited by the performance of the three women that she even prophesied their entry into the final. In contrast, there were singer Kerstin Ott (37) and actor Jan Hartmann (38). With their slow waltz they could convince the jury only moderately.

Then the deaf actor Benjamin Piwko (38), ex-handball player Pascal Hens (38) and fashion designer Thomas Rath (52) whirled over the floor. For their Viennese waltz the three not only received a lot of praise but also the most jury points of the evening. Rath stood out with his 20 out of 30 possible points. Entertainer Oliver Pocher (41), singer Lukas Rieger (19) and comedian Özcan Cosar (37) could not keep up. Her salsa was rated with expressions like "sweet" and "that was nothing".

The dance couples

Ladies first: First, the ladies were freed from their ignorance. Successive announcements were made: Evelyn Burdecki will dance in the coming weeks with new signing Evgeny Vinokurov (28), Nazan Eckes with Christian Polanc (40) and Sabrina Mockenhaupt with Erich Klann (31). Barbara Becker has been awarded Massimo Sinato (38) as a dance partner, Ella finally the 31-year-old Valentin Lusin and Ulrike Frank is taught by Robert Beitsch (27).

Jan Hartmann is pleased about professional dancer Renata Lusin (31), Pascal Hens about defending champion Ekaterina Leonova (31) and Benjamin Piwko about Isabel Edvardsson (36), who has returned from maternity leave. For Thomas Rath the dance adventure starts with Kathrin Menzinger (30), Oliver Pocher will train together with Christina Luft (28) and Lukas Rieger with Katja Kalugina (25). She spends the next few weeks with Regina Luca (30) in the rehearsal room.

The rating

Already in the opening sequence first points were awarded for the group dances. The peculiarity: The candidate who received the most points at the end of the evening can not fly out in the next show. Benjamin Piwko can look forward to the free ticket in round three. He convinced both the jury and the TV audience.
