Knitting cashmere cloth - a guide

Instructions for a cashmere cloth in size 60 x 180cm

Material: 200 to 225 g Gray Fb 110 "Solocashmere 110" (100% cashmere, running length 110 m / 25 g) 150 g Dark Red Fb 20 "Alta Moda Super Baby" (67% wool, 30% alpaca, 3% polyamide, 60 m run length / 50 g) by Lana Grossa. Knitting needles no. 5 + 10 (if you knit loosely) or 6 + 12 (if you knit tight). 1 crochet hook No. 5 or 6.

Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!

Smooth right (GR) with thin needle and thin yarn over 20 rows: Rowing right, back rows left. After the first streak in dark red: in the first row double every st in the row = 96 sts.



Smooth left (GL) with thick needle and thick yarn over 2 rows: Knit 2 rows from left row in front row (= 48 sts), back row to the right. Knit 2 rows.

Mesh test (GR): 16 M x 22 R = 10 x 10 cm.

Manual: Cast on 96 sts in gray and knit alternately in GR and GL. Approximately 180 cm from the stop, bind off after 8 cm in the GR all sts. Crochet the entire outer edge in gray with a R sts.
