Knit triangular scarf - a guide
Instructions for a triangular scarf (about 70 x 200 cm in size)
Material: 200 g Nature Fb 00202, 100 g Mandarin Fb 00226, 100 g Salmon Fb 00224 "Sun City" (50% cotton, 50% acrylic, run length 97 m / 50 g) from Schachenmayr. Knitting needles no. 5 (if you are loosely knitting) or 6 (if you knit tightly - it is important that you refer to the information given in the stitch test).
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
Smooth right (GR): 1. R (back): left st. 2. R (front): right st. Do not lift off the first st on each row, but knit in the pattern.
Color sequence: * 36 R (= 15 cm) in tangerine, 36 R in nature, 36 R in salmon, 36 R in nature. Repeat * 2 times.
Mesh test (GR): 17 M x 23 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Manual: The triangular cloth is knitted across. Cast on 3 sts in Tangerine and knit in GR in the same order as above, increasing sts in every other row as follows: on the front (M at the right) put an envelope over the needle after the first st and in the reverse row Knitting the front row left crossed off. The color change work as indicated above every 15 cm (= 36 R). 90 cm from placket (= 110 sts), knit the last row in natural without increasing, then knit the first row in salmon also without increasing and remove as follows: in each row after the first st, knit the following 2 sts to the right. Continue to knit until 3 sts remain, then bind off. Lightly dampen the cloth and tie fringes in the corresponding color on the narrow sides: Cut 6 x 2 threads each 40 cm long for each color strip and tie the fringes to the edge of the cloth with a crochet hook. To do this, lay the 2 threads halfway, pull through the cloth with the needle, then pull the ends of the fringes through this loop.
