Kevin Hart: So he apologizes in detail now

Kevin Hart (39, "Jumanji") once again commented on the posts that most likely cost him moderation of the Oscars. The comedian and actor apologized in his third-person radio show on Monday night, "The Hollywood Reporter." "Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for the comments that have offended the members of the LGBTQ community, and I apologize."

In early December, Hart was criticized for homophobic tweets he wrote a few years ago. After the Shitstorm had started, demanded the Academy, which awards the annual Oscars, according to Hart a public apology from him. He denied this by declaring that he had often commented on it, but apologized on Twitter shortly after for his words. At the same time he also stated that he would resign from the moderation of the Oscars. "The reason is that I do not want to distract you on a night when so many amazingly talented artists are going to be celebrated." A replacement for the US comedian has not announced the Academy until today. Most recently, Ellen DeGeneres (60) publicly supported Harts return. In her broadcast, she told him she had called the Academy and stood up for him. There one would face the possibility openly.

He appeals to the LGBTQ community

Perhaps the moderation for Hart now but again in question. And maybe that's why in a long speech on his show "Straight from the Hart" he once again explained what the tweets were all about. Among other things, Hart says that the tone on Twitter was different at the time: "We thought it would be alright to talk that way, because we also talked like that to each other, but now it's wrong." By now he is also surrounded by people from the LGBTQ scene "and I'm now aware of what these words trigger in them and why they say, 'This shit is hurtful after everything I've been through.'"

Hart further advocates not using this hurtful language any more: "So we say 'Hey, as a group, let's shit this, we're not posting garbage on social media.'" At the same time, Hart also appealed to the LGBTQ community to believe that a person can evolve. "If you do not accept people who are changing, how are you going to get to that part of gender equality?"
