John Carpenter: He's afraid of that

"We are afraid of our own death - any fear you have I have too, it is universal, humor is never universal, so fear is horror, so horror is so wonderful."

Horror veteran John Carpenter (71, "The Rattlesnake") admits in an interview with the US movie website "Collider" that he too is afraid. Although the director is behind films like "The Fog - Fog of horror" (1980), "Halloween" (1978) or "The Ward" (2010), he has the same fears as everyone else. Therefore, horror will always work as a genre, only as it turns out, depends on the zeitgeist. Carpenter will be honored on Wednesday in Cannes with a Carrosse D'Or for his life's work.
