Is this the most comfortable family bed in the world?

Elisabeth Boyce did not expect that. The photographer and mother of six children from Dallas decided a few days ago to show a picture of their home-made family bed on Facebook.

"I just wanted to post an innocent picture, and the next morning I woke up and saw it was seen by 30,000 people," she writes on her blog, still amazed.

"And it's getting crazier: Suddenly 175,000 people discuss my sex life and that she (or moment, no, I) would have to pay for therapy soon. "

What happened?

The photo, which Boyce modestly describes as "not so remarkable", is actually an eye-catcher. The photographer and her husband have built a family bed from the children's high beds "Kura" of Ikea, which offers space for the parents and for all 5 children (the sixth child is 21 and has already moved out).

Zach (11), Izzy (9), Ben (7) and Owen (3) sleep in the bunks on the sides and on the mattress in the middle the parents sleep with the youngest (1) in the middle. Sounds awfully tight, but if you look at the picture, you would like to lay down with it!

Thousands of parents from all over the world congratulate Elisabeth on the construction. After all, there are enough families who still share bed with older children - either out of conviction or because the children simply refuse to sleep anywhere else than on Mom's and Dad's side.

And how do you build such a family bed?

This is the most common question that Elisabeth has gotten to the photo, and she now has instructions for rebuilding. put online.

The best part: If you take a screwdriver yourself, the bed is a bargain. Without mattresses (who were already there), Elisabeth spent only about 200 euros for it.

The detailed instructions can be found on www.wanderingtheworldbelow.com.

Killer for sex life?

But she also gets many other questions about sleeping in such a family bed:

Are you not awakening each other? Do not the kids fall out there? How is bedtime going? And above all, how in the world are you still having sex?

On her blog, the portrait photographer wrote answers to the 10 most common questions - some of which are very funny. You can find her on Wanderingtheworldbelow.com.
