Interesting trend: Do you have a "back-up friend"?

"Back-up friend" - alone the name prepares romantics stomach ache. For anyone who keeps an emergency partner warm in order not to be alone in the event of a break has clearly not read enough Shakespeare!

Every second person has a "Plan B"

Strange, but apparently true: A study by the British market research firm OnePoll.com has shown that even half of the women interviewed have a back-up friend to strap on if it breaks up. An ex, an old friend, a worshiper ... Phew, there's a lot of unromanticism (this word should be included in the dictionary, by the way) in the air!

The absurd: a good half of the women even told their current partner about their "emergency solution"! However, not all test persons are sure that they would really do something with the "back-up partner": Only one in six women seriously consider having a relationship with the chosen one in an emergency. Juhuu, the romance is not quite dead yet!

Back-up friend - what's behind it?

Sure, nobody likes to be alone. Many women are also under pressure from the mid-30s because they want to have children. What if suddenly you're left with the potential father of a child? No question, such a back-up friend is pretty handy.

Is that morally okay, you ask yourself now. The answer is: there is no answer! If it calms down to think of a theoretical back-up friend, that should do that. It only gets critical if it goes beyond the theory, you hold the second-choice friend and gives him hope, just so that he is "available" in case of cases. This is first of all super selfish and secondly it can jeopardize the current relationship.

So if you have a back-up friend in your pocket, give it to someone! But now devote yourself fully to your current partner. Enjoy the time with your "first choice" - then the whole thing can still be quite romantic!
