Indie Travel Guide: With Jürgen Vogel and Thees Uhlmann through Berlin

Feel good as in a small town with Jürgen Vogel (singer of Hansen Band)

"Berlin is for me the most exciting and interesting city in Germany, regardless of which one can live well there, there are other big cities like New York, where you can go shopping, but can not imagine living there Berlin is really different, there are individual districts, which are relatively clear and different, so you can feel comfortable in a small town, even though you live in a big city, in every single district you have a very good infrastructure, you have your baker I think it's great that you do not always have to drive around forever, everyone says that Berlin is too big and confusing, but that's nonsense, I think it's great that every neighborhood is different. "

POINT OF INTEREST

Long Lake in Schmöckwitz. I like the lakes around Berlin. A few are undeveloped; usually these are even nature reserves. You hardly believe that you can swim very close to such a natural lake. I especially like the Long Lake. He lies behind Grünau in the direction of Schönefeld Airport, also has access to all other lakes in Berlin - they are all connected anyway. If you are there, you think you are in another city, because everything is so green, everywhere forest, just totally beautiful.

CLUB

The Week12end is pretty high up. From there you can look all over Berlin. Now there is a roof terrace on top. The Week12end is a pretty cool club. I do not have much time to go out but if, I go there. They always play pretty cool music - mostly black music, but also electro - also the people are very interesting. The shop is located in the center of Alexanderplatz. Alexanderplatz 5; www.week-end-berlin.de

PUNCH / BAR

Hefner. The shop is located directly on Savignyplatz, in the old city center of Berlin. It's the only bar you can find there. In Berlin Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg or Friedrichshain, there are of course no end bars. That's not the case in the West. The Hefner Bar is a fairly central location. Ideal for a warm drink before leaving in the evening. Savignyplatz, corner Kantstraße 146; www.hefner-berlin.de

The restaurant Kuchi in Berlin

RESTAURANT

There are quite different restaurants in Berlin, which I find very good. One is in Berlin Mitte and means Shiro i Shiro, It belongs to the same guy who runs the Kuchi Restaurant. The Shiro i Shiro is a relatively large restaurant with a phenomenal blend of French and Asian cuisine. The menu is really cool, they put together the most different things. You can eat up to eight courses there and then you are really full! Shiro i Shiro: Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 11; www.shiroishiro.com

at Kuchi is there really great sushi. They now have two restaurants in Berlin. One is in Kantstraße in the west, the other in Mitte. Mostly I go to the store in Kantstrasse, because it's right in the corner where I live. Incidentally, there is still a very tasty shop where you can have breakfast very damn good. He's called Deli 31 and is also a hotel. If you are only in Berlin for a short time, you can really relax. Kuchi: Kantstrasse 30 & Gipsstraße 3; www.kuchi.de Deli 31 (in Bleibtreu Hotel): Bleibtreustraße 31; www.bleibtreu.com

Otherwise, there is still for very good Italian cuisine Filou, This is my neighborhood! As for the food I am fully covered here. Filou: Bleibtreustraße 7; www.filou-berlin.de

CLOTHES STORE

Finding a cool clothes store is quite difficult for me, but Irie Daily is great. The guys used to make music in the past. Then they started printing on their T-shirts and made more money than with their records. Since then they are making clothes. I really like your style! In Berlin there are several shops where you can buy clothes from them. East Berlin, Alte Schönhauser Straße 33-34; www.iriestore.de

SHOE STORE

Budapest. The store is just across the street from the Deli 31 in the Bleibtreustraße. If you're up for some good leather shoes, then you should definitely try it there. Often there are also downed stuff. Kurfürstendamm 43 & 199 and Friedrichstraße 81; www.budapester-schuhe.net

Berlin is always worth a trip! Slowly, however, nobody should go there anymore. It's enough now. We are full! I think everyone should take some time off for Berlin, then look at things or do things they would not otherwise do. If you drive around a bit and look at the surrounding area, you can discover some nice things. For example, around Potsdam. Alone the city of Potsdam is very nice. If you go even further out, you come into a great landscape ... you do not believe that, if you are in the middle of Berlin. Berlin is really green. Take a day off and take off all the lakes - if possible, by motorbike. But even with the scooter or with the bike that can be really fun.

Letters over the city of Thees Uhlmann (Tomte)

"In Berlin-Kreuzberg, the old postal delivery area 61: according to the band called terrorist group also called 'teacher Kreuzberg' or 'Futonficker-Kreuzberg', I've been home for a few years now."

Vehicle registration containers. That's not very nice, it just belongs to the registration office of Kreuzberg. We know all such places where license plates are made. There are just about 20 different registration containers side by side, which actually do the same thing. Schmu insurance businesses and then do the such customs license plates and there is always a hustle and bustle. The funny thing is, these 20 people next to each other are doing exactly the same thing and offering exactly the same thing. I wonder why they are there every time. I have also philosophized with the various taxi drivers about it. If you go there, it looks totally absurd. Besides, there is also my favorite graffiti nearby. One of them wrote on the wall with white paint: "I'm getting right". And that in the vicinity of the vehicle office, that's probably a very tragic story, this person has experienced there with his cart. This sentence will definitely be found on the next Tomte record! An outcry of the deprived! Jüterbogerstraße 3

MUSEUM

My friend Flo is a huge Ramones fan. He traced them all over Europe in the nineties and bought everything from the Ramones, which he does not have yet. At two o'clock in the morning at a party, he suddenly says, "Well, I have to go to the office now, because there's a Ramones T-shirt from the Argentine Tour in 1995". Meanwhile, he has rented a small room and has the first in it Ramones Museum opened. There are all sorts of curiosities to admire. For example, a pair of pants by Joey Ramone. At some point, he just approached him and asked him if they could just change their pants - that worked out that way. I think that's good. Especially because of the meticulousness with which he pervades his lifelong dream. Moreover, Berlin is a typical punk-tourism-city and there fits a Ramones Museum like the fist on the eye. Krausnickstrasse 23; www.ramonesmuseum.com

RESTAURANT

A wonderful exception in terms of service, service and quality is that austria, where there is Austrian cuisine. But even for my vegetarian buddy Nagel, there is a great Vollspeisung! In addition, there is the Mirabelle liqueur, with which I grew up. Bergmannstraße 30

Hamy Café. This is with my girlfriend and me in the corner a very small Vietnamese snack. The store is run by a couple who are somehow around the age of fifty or sixty, and everything you get there is ocher and cheap! They make the best spicy coconut soup you can imagine. And this soup does not even cost two euros! The owners already know me a bit, I know them - then you really do not have to say the dish you want. Of course, this is always great. It's actually the best meal in our corner. Another small tip: Definitely order the A1 with tofu! Hasenheide 10; www.hamycafe.de

Otherwise by the Marheineke Market Hall eat and definitely try the "bio buffet" the hamburger. Whether vegetarian or carnivary - that's TOP! Marheinekeplatz / Bergmann road; www.meine-markthalle.de

CLUB

Unfortunately, a little further away: To the ins Track 22 (in Münster / Westphalia), you have to get on the train from Berlin. This store is really close to my heart. We always go there when we are in Münster. It used to be THE shop for me in the past! If somewhere happens Indie, then on track 22. At some point we then played there once and our concerts were even sold out - that was just crazy! To the picture, what I have painted: Since we had previously played in a punk shed and then said that we now absolutely want to track 22. The punks there could not believe it, looked us confused and said: "What? You still want to go to this student bar ?!" Hafenstrasse 34, Münster in Westphalia; www.gleis22.de

Better not drink beer or worse red wine in the Columbia Club or in the Columbiahalle, because you're probably going to break. But look at concerts there! Columbiadamm 9-11; www.columbiaclub.de, www.columbiahalle.de

Who punkmäßig something on itself, goes into the clash. Gneisenaustrasse 2a; www.clash-berlin.de

PUNCH / BAR

Free Neukölln. This is a pretty nice shop, almost right around the corner from my apartment. You meet there in the evening and can talk in a cozy frame nice. I think it's okay by all means. Still, I would not declare it as my favorite pub. Pannierstr. 54, corner Weserstraße; www.freies-neukoelln.de

CLOTHES STORE

Mostly I get clothes from different companies as a gift. Or I buy something somewhere in passing. Do not get me wrong: I'm not really mean to other people, but I'm very mean to myself. My girlfriend and I were in Stockholm in 2007 and she actually made me to buy a really expensive winter jacket for about 220 Euros for the first time. It was all because my girlfriend told me I should buy something. You see: clothes, that almost always manages my girlfriend with me. There are no clothes shops here that I can recommend: except Karstadt at Hermannplatz. Hermannplatz; www.karstadt.de

SHOE STORE

If you like Britpop shoes, then it is Clarks store under the subway station Friedrichstrasse probably a true throne room. This is an official license business of the British shoe brand. Often have the special offers. They've even ordered shoes from England for me that should only be there and not here in Germany. In the station Friedrichstrasse 141-142; www.clarks-berlin.com

PLATE SHOP

Mr Dead & Mrs Free I think is the best record store in Berlin. Actually, I am not the regular customer, but our former bass player, Olli Koch. Meanwhile, the guy from the shop calls him and says, "Hey, Olli - some new records came in here and you should definitely listen to them!" Of course, this is almost like Nick Hornby's High Fidelity. Bülowstraße 5; www.deadandfree.com

Rarities and special things are in the Indian Soundroom in the Körtestraße. But please beware of the aggressive dachshund, which probably sells most of the potential clientele. And the seller can Kung-fu! So do not moan. Körtestraße 21; www.myspace.com/indiansoundroom

PARTICULARITIES

I am already older now and do not always have to beat my ears around the ears. For this reason, I call the park, which is close to me - the Hasenheide, This is a huge park that could be compared to Central Park in New York. There you can jog for three laps and do something for your body or just push the stroller around the area. I also enjoy watching people play soccer or the dealers at work - like they do when suddenly the police come by and what they have for different ringtones as warnings. If you really want to buy hash here, you should bring a bag, because you get it according to a friend just put in the hand. But who still hunts today? The Hasenheide is my green lung in Berlin. Also for tourists it is definitely recommended. In addition, there is a really well maintained mini golf course. Something like that has become rather rare these days. The Hasenheide is probably the most beautiful unobtrusive park in Berlin, but unfortunately the barbecue is prohibited here.

Through the Gneisenaustraße pulls sometime in the early summer of the Carnival of the Cultures, This is 1a to watch women over 50 rhythmically beat up on samba drums and go out of their way to look alternative. www.karneval-berlin.de

On the Admiralsbrücke Sometimes hentai fans meet to look at each other. Otherwise, hundreds of people meet on the bridge in summer, drinking beer together and annoying the locals!
