Impressions from Bali

Bali is a paradise on earth. And that's no exaggeration. Whether you are looking for relaxation, culture travelers or nature lovers, the Indonesian island has much to offer. And is, admittedly, still reasonably affordable.

Impressions from Bali

Two weeks in a double room of a five-star hotel with breakfast cost including flight per person around 1,500 euros. Although the southern peninsula Nusa Dua is very popular with Australian surfers and divers, Bali is by no means overrun by tourists. And if you turn off the main highways with the china restaurants and pizzerias, you will find small restaurants that are the best Chap Chay make that you have ever tasted.

Although the Islamic faith prevails in Indonesia, 95 percent of Balinese are Hindu. The number of temples in Bali is unknown, but is estimated at several hundred thousand. Every restaurant, every house, every hotel has its own temple. One of the most beautiful is probably the "Besakih" temple at the foot of Vukans Gunung Agung, the "mother temple" of the Balinese. However, the most famous temple in Bali is completely overcrowded: "Tanah Loth". Especially at sunset, the tourists in masses flock to the temple, which lies directly in the sea to shoot their postcard motifs.

To explore Bali, you should plan at least two weeks. If you are too lazy on the beach, snorkeling, diving and getting a massage (be sure to try the "Balinese massage"!), Should plan for three weeks. The tour operators offer on-site personal tours. Together with a German-speaking travel guide and a driver (driving yourself is definitely not recommended, unless you are tired of life) then you make a day trip to various regions.

A trip to Bali is a dream! We certainly never wanted to go back home ...
