Ian McKellen: He took the queen's throne before

Does Queen Elizabeth II (92) know which celebrities have been secretly sitting on her throne? As Sir Ian McKellen (79, "The Lord of the Rings") has revealed, according to "Daily Mail" in the "Graham Norton Show", he once sat with his acting colleague Judi Dench (83, "Murder on the Orient Express") in the Buckingham Palace on the throne of British monarch. The situation was simply too tempting, the actor explained and then pointed out, "Buckingham Palace brings out the worst in you."

The whole thing happened when Dench and he were invited to a dinner in the palace. "Back when the banquet was over, we followed the music into another room that we thought was familiar," recalled McKellen, who had been knighted in 1991. "We danced around when we realized we were in the throne room."

They use the favor of the hour

They would then have taken advantage of the hour: "There was no one else and the thrones were not in sight, so we went in search and when we found them behind a cover, we sat on it!"
