Henry Cavill: He will not be seen as Superman anymore

The world is losing a super hero: Henry Cavill (35, "Justice League") will probably no longer be seen in the role of Superman in the future. This is reported by the industry magazine "The Hollywood Reporter", which relies on anonymous insiders. There is no confirmation from Warner Bros. or from the actor.

Allegedly, Warner had tried to win Cavill as Superman for a performance in the planned for 2019 Comicverfilmung "Shazam". The negotiations between the studio and the agents of the actor had failed, however. In addition, no further appearance of the figure is planned for the coming years.

Superman is like Bond

Another insider compares the hero with a very special agent. "Superman is like James Bond and after a while you have to look for a new actress," explains the studio source. At the same time, it is said that Cavill's new role as Geralt of Riva in the upcoming Netflix series "The Witcher" is not to blame for the failed negotiations, even if it was talked about scheduling problems.
