Guns N 'Roses: Even an illness can not stop Axl Rose

Axl Rose (56), the Guns n 'Roses frontman, seems almost indestructible. Yesterday, he played a concert with his legendary band in Abu Dhabi - despite a serious illness. However, according to consistent media reports, he could only offer a shortened set. Still on stage, Rose explained the reasons: "I got infusions and a few injections because I got sick today." He has been giving himself over the last five hours, but for him a refusal would be out of the question: "I will play the best possible show for you."

"A true miracle"

After the shortened concert, his band members paid tribute to him. Bassist Duff McKagan (54) tweeted: "Axl Rose did a real miracle." He was really sick and still made something that he has never seen in 40 years of music business. The fans had spurred him on.

Also, guitarist Slash (53) had similar words of praise and was grateful to the supporters for support: "Axl was seriously ill, but you supported him so much, thank you!"
