Figures from the 3D printer - how it works:
These figures were made by Twinkind in Berlin (www.twinkind.com). A similar service offer z. Eg www.glasow-3d.de (Erlangen), www.doob-3d.com (Düsseldorf) and www.3dgeneration.com (Dortmund). First, you set an appointment to scan. The respective person or animal is then scanned by a 3-D scanner - complete with clothing and other accessories (bag, cap, collar). In post-production, the digital image of reality is aligned as much as possible and printed out in the next step with a 3-D color printer. The price (at www.twinkind.com from about 190 euros) depends on the size of the finished figure (in our example 7.5? 35 cm), for some accessories such. For example, eyeglasses or extra glossy surfaces, a surcharge of around 30 euros will be charged. After 2 to 6 weeks (!) The figure can be picked up at Twinkind or will be sent on request.
