Dinner music by Jamie Cullum: The stars can not escape the swarming

On the eve of the "GQ Men of the Year" Awards, the Volkswagen Dinner Night took place in the Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin for the third time on Wednesday evening. The absolute highlight was the appearance of the British singer and songwriter Jamie Cullum (39), who inspired the 220 invited guests from business, culture, sport and society at the grand piano. Many of the present celebrities came out as great fans of the artist.

Britta Steffen with dream figure

Ex-swimmer Britta Steffen (34) already visited in 2010 a concert by Cullum in Portugal. "He really has it," she enthused on the edge of the gala. The 34-year-old is rarely seen in public. In 2013, the two-time Olympic champion ended her swimming career, in September 2017, her son was born. Her slim figure has retained the ex-athlete but still today.

The reason: your son keeps you really busy. "When the children become active and you do it yourself, you do not have to diet," smiles Steffen. But sometimes she comes to her limits. "If my son does not feel like taking a nap, I'm hanging on the ropes in the evening, sometimes I go to bed at 7 pm," she admits.

Philipp Sattler did not sleep for six weeks

Philipp Sattler (35) can also understand that very well. "I have not slept for six weeks," explains the newly-married husband of TV star Caroline Beil. The 52-year-old starts again professionally 16 months after the birth of her daughter; Her husband actively supports her. "It's all a big question of organization," explains the presenter and actress. "If you can reconcile both, it's wonderful."

Jamie Cullum also tries his best to reconcile his music career with the family. "I focus on the important things in life and try to spend as much time as possible with my children." The 39-year-old has with his wife Sophie Dahl (41), the two daughters Lyra (7) and Margot (5). He tries daily to drive the two to school, he explains.

Concert premiere for Emilia Schüle

For the Volkswagen Dinner Night Cullum performed in an unfamiliar atmosphere. Instead of a huge audience in a concert hall, the musician sat on the piano in front of selected guests. And they could not get out of the swarming. For actress Emilia Schüle (25) it was the singer's first concert. The 25-year-old is a big fan by his own admission and was thrilled to finally see him live. Other guests included actress Susan Hoecke (37), "Red Ribbon" star Tim Oliver Schultz (30) and presenter Anastasia Zampounidis (49).
