Christmas tree decorations: so delicate, so noble!
"I especially like this Christmas tree ornament, because it is easy to make, it costs little and looks great - in contrast to the dark needles of the Christmas tree, but also on branches sprayed in white.As the pendants are handmade, each one is unique.
The Christmas tree decorations are made of air-drying clay. For some trailers, I used snowflake stamps, which I pressed into the still damp tone. Others I have labeled with letter stamps. At the end you just need nice strips of fabric, cords or gift ribbon to attach the pendant.
You need this:
- White air-drying clay (from 500g approx. 50 pendants)
- cutting board
- rolling pin
- knife (small, sharp kitchen knife)
- wooden skewer
- Letter stamp
- snowflakes, - heart, - or other stamps
- Tape for hanging
- Large embroidery needle
- Nail file or fine sandpaper
- Plastic bags
The instructions for the Christmas tree decorations:
- Take a handful of clay. Roll it out with the rolling pin on the cutting board until it is 2 to 3 mm thick.
- Cut rectangles about 9 cm long and 3 cm wide from the clay. The pendants become even more beautiful if they are a little different. If you have small rectangles left, take them for the small pendants. My in the photo are about 2 cm x 1 cm in size.
- Press the decorative stamps into the clay while it is still wet. Make a hole in the clay with the wooden skewer above.
- Do you place the tags on plastic bags for drying? for at least 24 hours, turning it over from time to time.
- When dry, file the edges with the file or with the emery paper.
- Stamp words on the pendants with the letter stamps. Any stains can be removed with the nail file.
- Use the embroidery needle to pull the cord through the hole.
- hang up!
