Brian Harvey: Police took him to disturbing live stream in clinic

Brian Harvey, 44, a former star of the 90s boy band East 17 ("Stay Another Day"), was apparently detained overnight in the night from Thursday to Friday in East London and subsequently transferred to a mental hospital. As the newspaper "The Sun" reports, Harvey threatened to do something to himself in several live videos on the internet. He also spread hate messages. Meanwhile, the recordings were deleted.

In the last live stream also the arrival of the officials was to be seen. "We're not leaving without coming in to talk to you," the police said to have shouted through the locked door. The Scotland Yard Police Department confirmed that they had been called to an address in the Walthamstow district and arrested a man in his 40s. He was unharmed and taken to a hospital for health screening.

Earlier, Harvey had told in the videos, according to "The Sun", that he had serious financial problems and could survive only because of donations and the state. Only last year, the musician attracted attention with a similar action, but without police intervention. Also via live stream, he reported that he had not left his apartment for five years. He feels like a prisoner even though he has sold 22 million albums.
