If you feel like southern flair, is right here: The Wörthersee has the greenest blue water that you have ever seen. In Maria Wörth, for example, you can sit wonderfully on one of the jetties or rock in a boat, let your legs dangle in the crystal-clear madness and blink into the sun. What is there to discover on the shores of the other side of the lake? Water rats are thinking about pulling a few laps. But instead of swimming you can just watch the rings spread out on the gemstone-colored iridescent water. When the afternoon comes to an end, it's time for a sundowner.
If you have a car, you could of course drive around the lake. Especially on the southern shore there are beautiful routes right on the water. Dear about the water? If you do not have a boat, book a water taxi (eg at Heimo, Tel. 00 43/67 63 17 54 88). With tariffs from 100 euros no bargain, but unforgettable!
The "Villa Miralago Castle" is a villa directly on the lakeshore with individually decorated rooms, a small bar, a fantastic breakfast (even non-guests can sign up for brunch) and dinner on request.
