Are acorns actually edible or poisonous?

Hach, how beautiful is such an autumn walk: We stroll along the paths, run their feet through fresh fallen leaves - and find plenty of chestnuts and acorns.

Do you still remember how we always used to collect them? From the chestnuts we made funny males and then went with the acorns in the next zoo for wild boar feeding. Anyone who even had the luck to live near Bonn could always hand over acorns and chestnuts to gummi bear giant Haribo and have them exchanged for sweets - wonderful!

But what can be done from the autumnal finds? Of course we can eat sweet chestnuts or chestnuts (and we love to buy a warming bag at the hot chestnut stall in winter).

But what about acorns? Can you actually eat them, many ask. After all, Grandma and Grandpa have already eaten Eichelbrot and drunk acorn coffee!

But it's not that easy. Because who does not know how he should deal with acorns, should first inform! In the video above, we explain everything you need to know: Can I eat acorns, and if so, how do I prepare them? Take a look - it's really exciting!
