Plus-size stars like Tess Holliday, Ashley Graham or Erica Schenk have long since proven that models can make a career with curves. Now, finally, the men are catching on: The renowned agency IMG Models has launched a new division for male models with large clothing sizes. Under the label "brawn" (means among others: "strong", "strong") IMG wants to convey a positive body feeling - and has signed with Zach Miko her first male plus-size model under contract.
The two-meter man with the handsome waist circumference (101cm) is no stranger, at least in the US: He is an actor, comedian, author, blogger and modeled already for the US discount chain Target. IMG board member Ivan Bart, himself strong-built, hopes that the new plus-size category will encourage more labels to design beautiful menswear in large sizes. Because that is still in short supply, although there are many fashion-interested men with "Dad Bod".

With Zach Miko, the agency may have hired the right man: he's the next-door guy who enjoys fashion and feels comfortable in his body, even though he has a few kilos more than the fashion average on the ribs. He could certainly play an important role model, because men often quarrel with her body. We look forward to more strong guys who stir up the fashion world!
